G. Using Film for Intercultural Education: A Developmental Approach
Louise Wilkinson

Film clips are a great way to engage students in intercultural education — unless they backfire. This workshop will introduce a research-based approach to effectively use films for intercultural education, drawing on an adaptation of the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity. Using a variety of film clips, this interactive session will explore how to sequence films and facilitate discussion in a manner most likely to improve multicultural understanding and intercultural competence.
